C&J will resume service to Boston South Station and Logan Airport on Sunday, August 23, 2020. Executive class trips to NYC will restart on Friday, August 28, 2020.

Schedules and online ticket purchases will be available the week of August 10, 2020.

Changes to Our Experience

We’re dedicated to ensuring the highest standards of safety, reliability, and flexibility for all our passengers. To that end, we’ve made some changes to our service to keep you and your loved ones safe while you travel.

We appreciate your understanding, and please know that your safety, and that of our team, continues to guide our decisions around crafting the right experience based on the current environment.

Please review all the updates below before you book your travel with us.

C&J customers are required to wear a face covering, or appropriate cloth face covering over their nose and mouth throughout their travel, aligning with best practice guidelines from the CDC. Plastic face shields may be used in addition to a mask but are not approved mask replacements. Any mask with an exhaust valve is not approved as an acceptable face mask for customers traveling on any C&J bus.

Customers with underlying conditions that explicitly prevent the wearing of a face covering or mask are strongly encouraged to reconsider travel.

Any false claims of a disability or health condition to obtain an exemption from wearing a mask or face covering may result in the suspension of travel privileges on any C&J schedule for the duration of the mask/face covering requirement.

Children under the age two are exempt from the mask requirement.

All C&J employees are instructed not to work if they are not feeling well, and we recommend our riders monitor their health and reschedule their travel if not feeling well.

Scheduled to travel but don’t feel 100%? We ask that you reschedule your trip to ensure your safety and the safety of those around you. Once you’re feeling better, we’ll be happy to welcome you onboard.

We are blocking off seats on each motorcoach to allow extra space for riders. Coaches traveling to/from Boston will have a single row of seats for individual travelers and a row of double seating for those traveling together.

Our buses are equipped with state-of-the-art air filtration systems that help reduce the spread of airborne pathogens.

C&J has enhanced cleaning frequency. Commonly used surfaces in stations such as door handles, counter tops, seating areas and kiosks are cleaned with EPA-registered disinfectants. Our buses are also rigorously cleaned after each trip.

We’ve installed signage in our terminals to help passengers maintain a six-foot physical distance between them and others. There are also clear plastic barriers at customer counters.

Our terminals have all been outfitted with sanitizing stations which we strongly encourage our customers and employees to use regularly.

We have temporarily removed amenities such as bottled water, coffee, and bagels in order to decrease the spread of germs.

To reduce the risk of transmitting germs, we have eliminated valet parking services. There is free parking available at our Dover, Portsmouth, and Newburyport terminals and all parking will be self-service. Please allow extra time to park your vehicle upon arrival.

Valet Vehicle Retrieval

If you are unable to retrieve your vehicle before the close of business day Saturday, March 21, 2020. We ask that you text 603-817-5433, with a date and time you will be picking up your keys.  Pickup times will be available between Monday – Friday from 8:00AM – 4:00PM, by appointment only.

We have implemented self-service ticket kiosks at our Portsmouth, Newburyport and South Station terminals to reduce contact between customers and employees. That said, we always recommend using mobile ticketing.

C&J Mobile Ticketing:

C&J makes contact-free travel easy. Riders can book, board, and check their bus status all right from their mobile device. C&J encourages boarding with mobile tickets, where our drivers scan right from your phone.

Bus Tracking:

Receive real-time status updates for C&J arrivals and departures right from your phone.

We know flexibility is important, especially now, when traveling and we have extended our ticketing policies to help our riders. 

Travel aboard C&J’s to/from Boston South Station and Logan Airport is on a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets may be used at any time while valid.


If you wish to keep your tickets for future travel you may do so within the following guidelines:

Please know that you can use your ticket to South Station for anytime during six months from the purchase date.

We have extended our expiration date on all Logan Airport tickets, so now they are available anytime for two years from the purchase date.

For all existing New York City tickets during this shutdown, we are happy to credit you a trip of equal or lesser value, valid anytime from one year from the date of travel. If the new ride is priced higher, you can still change for no fee but you must pay the fare difference. Subject to space availability.
