Masks Now Optional for C&J Employees and Customers

Apr 19, 2022

Following the ruling of a U.S. district court judge on Monday April 18, 2022, the Biden administration announced the federal mandate requiring masks in all U.S. bus stations and onboard buses will no longer be enforced. Effective immediately, masks are optional for all C&J customers and employees.

All C&J customers and employees may continue wearing masks while in buses and terminals if they so choose. We will continue to embrace our COVID-19 protocols for onboard filtration, sanitization and cleaning.

This announcement was unexpected, and if you are using our service to Logan Airport please be aware that airline and TSA employees may be receiving this information at different times. Enforcement may be inconsistent during the next few days as this news is more broadly communicated – remember to show understanding and patience with others who may not be aware enforcement is no longer required.

Local mask mandates in other countries may still be in effect. Customer who are extending their travel to other locations should always have a mask with them in case they continue to be required at their destination.

We are happy to see the country take this a big step forward in transitioning to a new phase of this pandemic. We thank you for your support in complying with the federal mask mandate and keeping each other safe during the pandemic.
