At C&J, we believe your vacation starts with us, and we work very hard to make traveling with us a fun, affordable, family-friendly experience for all.
To assist with your trip planning, we have put together some helpful information when traveling with us to get you on your way during the busy travel period. Also, be prepared for some travel changes at Logan Airport.
C&J – Your Family-Friendly Travel Option
We understand that traveling with the family can really do some damage to your wallet – that’s why for the past 50 years kids have ridden free to Boston with C&J!
Take advantage of some serious savings – one child, 18 years of age or younger, can ride absolutely free with C&J when accompanied by a full-fare ticketed adult to Boston’s South Station or Logan Airport. Two adults? Then two children ride free.
Stay Connected
C&J offers digital flight information for travelers going to Logan Airport at our Dover, Portsmouth, and Newburyport Locations. These boards show passengers real-time flight information so they can view their flight information and any changes that may occur before they leave.
In addition, all our buses are equipped with free Wi-Fi and power outlets to help keep you connected and the kids entertained while in route. Or if you want to get in the vacation mindset early – unplug, relax, and enjoy the ride.
Stay Hydrated
We know early travel times can make it difficult to avoid getting that ‘hangry’ sensation. We want you to stay hydrated, so we offer complimentary juice, water, and munchies for travelers during school vacation week, as well as coffee and tea for parents.
Important Parking Information
Parking is limited at our facilities, we strongly recommend carpooling or getting dropped off when available. When our lots fill due to high travel frequency, riders must valet their cars with us if they wish to leave a vehicle on-site.
C&J’s valet service is available all of our terminals for $7- Dover, Portsmouth, and Newburyport. We will be offering extended hours during vacation week. Returning after valet hours? No worries, We have you covered.
Your vacation starts with C&J
C&J offers non-reservation travel to and from South Station or Logan Airport, you can use your ticket to board any of our scheduled buses between your travel destinations. Seats are first-come-first-served, so we encourage you to arrive to our terminals at least 30 minutes prior to time of departure and follow signage prompts for parking assistance in all three locations.
Also remember this is a very busy travel period – make sure to give yourself extra time at Logan Airport to go through security. The airlines recommend arriving 2 hours prior to your flight departure, and 3 hours prior to an international flight. Take an earlier bus and allowing ample travel time in order to meet your connection.
If you are traveling with a large group please contact us to make arrangements. C&J provides discounts for groups of 15 or more adult travelers.

Returning Home from Logan Airport
Look for C&J buses near the orange “schedule buses” sign. You can find our exact pick-up locations here. C&J begins picking up outside the lower level (baggage claim) at Terminal A at the scheduled departure time, then continues onto terminals B1, B2, C, and E before exiting the airport.
The driver will stop the bus at each terminal, exit, and call the destination for that coach. Coaches that read “Dover, NH,” stop in Newburyport, MA and Portsmouth, NH before proceeding to Dover. It is important for passengers to be in the designated pick-up area prior to the departure time on the schedule.
