With winter on its way, many of us are looking to get out for one last excursion this fall. Looking to travel in the coming weeks? Why not take a bus to New York City? C&J is here to not only get you to where you want to go, but share some exciting things to do in the city.
Here are some of our favorite NYC attractions and must-sees for your next trip.
Interested in a spooky outing? Madame Morbid’s Trolley Tours takes you around Brooklyn’s most popular neighborhoods to learn about true crimes, ghostly encouragers, and local legends. You’ll travel in style in a Victorian trolley designed to look like a funeral parlor and watch mini-documentaries and play trivia as you visit the sites and learn about more than 400 years of history. Tickets for the 90-minute, non-stop ride cost $49 in September and November, and $59 in October. You can learn more here.
Leaf-peepers rejoice! There are plenty of options to view the beautiful foliage in and around New York. Whether it be strolling through the city’s parks or taking a short train ride to other stops throughout the state, you’ll be able to view the bright pops of color that the season is known for. You can see a list of the best places to view foliage in the city here.
Set to start in November, this after-dark event features a one-mile illuminated trail featuring art from local and international artists along with lights, color, and music. Along the trail, you can find seasonal treats perfect for visitors of all ages. Tickets are $40 for adults and $20 for kids ages 3 to 12. You can purchase tickets and learn more here.
If you’re hoping to catch a show on Broadway, you’ll have a slew of choices, including long-awaited revivals, beloved mainstays, and highly anticipated new openings. Of note, the Phantom of the Opera—Broadway’s longest running show—will end its 35-year tenure in February 2023, so don’t miss the opportunity to see it before then! Whether you’re planning a group outing, a family event, or a date night, there’s a show for any occasion. You can view a full list of shows currently playing and the upcoming schedule here.
When was the last time you had the chance to visit a working farm in the heart of New York City? The Queens County Farm Museum is a landmark and one of the longest continuously farmed sites in the state. With hayrides, family events, and festivals, there’s something to do for everyone. You can view upcoming events and learn more about the farm here.
