Taking C&J's Bus to Logan Airport: Where to Catch the Bus, What to Bring, and More

Written by Gabrielle Bliss | Nov 27, 2019 8:00:04 AM

Logan Airport is the largest and busiest airport in New England, with flights arriving and departing every day and travelers moving through its halls at all times of the day and night. Getting to Logan to pick up travelers can be a hassle—traffic is often heavy and navigating all the terminals can get confusing, quickly.

Luckily, there’s a convenient and affordable way to travel to and from Logan: C&J Bus Lines. We offer reliable transportation between the airport and Portsmouth and Seabrook. We’re there for you when you get off the plane, and we’ll provide you with a comfortable and relaxing ride to help you unwind after a long flight.

What to Know Before You Head to Logan

When you’re on the way to the airport, the last things you want to worry about are battling traffic, finding parking, and then walking halfway across the continent to your terminal. It’s exhausting and makes travel a million times more stressful than it needs to be. Thankfully, you can hop on one of our luxury buses at our terminals in Portsmouth or Seabrook direct to Logan Airport.

We recommend catching the bus well ahead of your scheduled flight—Massport suggests arriving at least two hours before any domestic departures, and three hours before international departures. C&J Bus Lines runs frequent scheduled trips to Logan every day, giving you plenty of time to catch your red eye or early morning flight.

We make stops at every terminal (A, B1, B2, C and E) at Logan Airport so you can get to where you need to go. Please note that our scheduled arrival times are for Terminal A. When planning your trip, please allow for extra time to get to your specific terminal. It can take anywhere from 15 to 20 minutes to make it through all the airport terminals, depending on traffic.

Please note that all of our buses to and from Logan Airport are on a first-come, first-served basis, regardless if you have pre-purchased your tickets. We highly recommend arriving at our terminal about 30 minutes before your scheduled departure time so you can find parking and get a seat.

Where to Catch Our Bus

Upon your return, you probably want to know where you’ll need to board the bus once your plane lands at Logan. We make pickups at each of Logan’s five terminals, so you won’t have to worry about trekking across the airport with your heavy luggage to get to one particular pickup point.

Let us pick you up at one of the following stops:

Look for C&J buses near the orange “scheduled buses” sign. C&J begins picking up outside the lower level (baggage claim) at Terminal A at the scheduled departure time, then continues onto terminals B1, B2, C, and E before exiting the airport. Scheduled arrival and pickup times refer to Terminal A, and it can take anywhere from 15–20 minutes to travel through the remaining terminals.

The driver will stop the bus at each terminal, exit the bus, and call the destination for that coach. Coaches that read “Portsmouth, NH,” stop in Seabrook, NH before proceeding to Portsmouth. It is important for passengers to be outside in the designated pick-up area prior to the departure time on the schedule.

How to Access Your Ticket

Don’t worry about printing out your tickets—mobile ticketing allows our drivers to scan your ticket right from your phone, so you won’t have to fumble through your luggage looking for a flimsy paper printout.

How to Track Your Bus

We recently introduced bus tracking to our website and mobile app, giving riders the ability to see where their bus is in real-time! If you’re waiting at the terminal for pickup and you’re unsure where your scheduled C&J bus is, just take a quick look at our bus tracker. Access the tool here to see where your bus is this very minute.

How Many Bags to Bring

Got luggage? Don’t sweat it! All of our buses have a lower storage compartment that can easily store any large suitcases and bags you’ve brought with you during your travels. We have plenty of space for strollers and sporting equipment in our lower storage compartment, so you don’t need to worry about trying to lug it on board.

Your first two bags are always free, and any additional bags are only $10 each. If your bag weighs more than 50 pounds, you will need to stow it under the coach yourself so as to not put any of our operators at risk of injury. Please avoid putting anything fragile in this storage area, as bags can shift as we travel. You’re also welcome to stow any carry-on bags in our overhead compartments inside the cabin.

When you travel to Logan Airport with us, we’ll provide you with a complimentary luggage tag with your departure terminal information on it. This way, our driver can help you get your bag and be on your way into the airport quickly. When you arrive at our terminal see any C&J representative to get your luggage tags prior to boarding the coach.

The next time you’re planning to fly anywhere, make sure you book your travel to and from Logan with C&J. It’s the easiest and most reliable way to get to your destination after a long flight, and the most affordable way to fly out of Logan. We can’t wait to assist you in your travels!
