Safety is our top priority at C&J. For over 50 years, we have done everything in our power to ensure that our passengers remain healthy and safe when they travel with us. And that resolve has only strengthened as coronavirus (COVID-19) becomes an international concern. We take great pride in providing top-of-the-line service to each and every one of our riders, and along with that comes our ongoing commitment to cleanliness.
We take your health seriously here at C&J Bus Lines. Our team is working tirelessly to prevent the spread of coronavirus on our buses and in our terminals. Find out how we’re protecting our passengers, and what you can do as an individual to help us keep everyone safe.
After every trip, we take care to clean our buses thoroughly so they’re pristine for our next passengers. This includes picking up any trash left behind, sweeping the floor, and cleaning each seat and handrails. Each night, all coaches undergo a rigorous deep cleaning procedure which disinfects every row, including the backs of each seat and armrest, the bus entryway and lavatories, overhead compartments, and all windows. We have special sanitizing spray equipment that is extremely effective at destroying germs and bacteria.
Our team wears gloves while they clean to further avoid the spread of germs. We always go the extra mile when ensuring that our coaches are spotlessly clean.
Not only do we work hard to clean all of our buses, but we also prioritize the cleanliness of our terminals and drivers. All of our terminals are stocked with hand sanitizer, and our staff makes sure to sanitize their hands between every single transaction. This helps to prevent the spread of germs from person to person.
Additionally, all of our drivers sanitize their hands after loading luggage under the coach. This is yet another measure we take to keep both our staff and our passengers healthy and safe.
The CDC has recommended several basic precautions we can all take to further prevent the spread of coronavirus.
- Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based (at least 60% alcohol) hand sanitizer.
- Avoid touching your face, especially your mouth and eye areas.
- Use a tissue or a sleeve if you need to cough or sneeze.
- Stay home if you feel sick.
As with any virus, the best way to prevent the transmission of illnesses is to stay home and rest when you feel sick. We’re here to provide you with safe and fast transportation once you’re healthy again.
Don’t sweat travel changes—we can help. We’ve updated our refund and cancellation policy for New York City riders to help alleviate stress:
For all existing tickets or new reservations made before March 31, 2020, you can change (free of charge) to a trip of equal or lesser value, valid through December 31, 2020. If the new ride is priced higher, you can still change for no fee but you must pay the fare difference.
If you decide to cancel your trip, you can retain the value of your ticket in the form of C&J credit (which can be applied to a new ticket without fee for travel up to December 31, 2020 from the original ticket issue date).
We’ve never charged change fees for Boston South Station or Logan Airport, so you can book confidently knowing that you can use your ticket to South Station for anytime during six months from the purchase date. We have extended our expiration date on all Logan Airport tickets, so now they are available anytime for 2 years from the purchase date.
We completely understand that you may have more questions or concerns related to travel during the coronavirus outbreak. Please don’t hesitate to contact us. We’re happy to help you however possible.
