Over the last few days, our community has come together like never before to help reduce and prevent the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19). We’ve worked diligently here at C&J to do our part. Though we’ve always sanitized our buses and terminals thoroughly and on a regular basis, we’re happy to now share that process with you. The safety of our staff, drivers, and passengers comes first and foremost, now more than ever.
In our efforts to prevent the spread of coronavirus, we are significantly reducing our daily bus service in order to encourage everyone—including our employees—to stay home and stay healthy. It’s our duty as members of the Seacoast community, and the US at large, to prioritize public health and wellbeing at this time.
We are still running limited service to South Station and New York City, as well as hourly service to Logan Airport for anyone who needs to travel. Whether you are heading home from the airport, or checking on family in the city, we’re here for you. Our family will do everything in our power to make sure you get to your destination safely.
New York City Service Reductions
We have reduced our number of daily trips to and from New York City significantly. Please be aware of this as you are purchasing tickets, because you may not be able to travel at your preferred time. There is additional information about this service update on our website here.
South Station and Logan Airport Combined Service
All buses to Boston will make two stops: one at Logan Airport (all terminals) and another at South Station. If you normally ride with C&J to South Station, please expect an additional 10 to 15 minutes added to your journey due to stops at Logan Airport. There is additional information here on our website.
Dover Terminal Closed Temporarily
Until further notice, we have closed our Dover, New Hampshire terminal. You can still catch a bus at our Portsmouth terminal, which is only a short drive away. Don’t worry if your car is parked at the Dover lot—we are happy to shuttle you to your car. However, there will be no customer service agents on duty at the Dover terminal.
Please be aware of this when you are preparing to depart on a trip. You will need to catch the bus from our Portsmouth terminal (your ticket will still be valid, even if it says “Dover”) so make sure you leave a few minutes earlier to get to the bus in time for departure.
Valet Service Suspended
We have also suspended our valet services at our Portsmouth terminal to reduce the risk of spreading germs. Our free, self-service parking lot is still open at our Portsmouth, Newburyport, and Tewksbury locations.
Bus Tracking Temporarily Turned Off
Because of the rapid shifts to service schedules, we’ve temporarily turned off our bus tracking technology. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Our C&J family wants to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your continued support through this difficult time for everyone. We look forward to getting our service back to normal, but in the meantime, we must all come together to protect our community and the health of everyone living here.
Thank you for riding with our family.
