It’s official! As a proud sponsor of the Prescott Park Arts Festival, we’re happy to announce that third-grader Ellie Balakier is the winner of this year’s grand prize: an all-expenses-paid trip to a Broadway show in New York City!
In partnership with Federal Savings Bank and Lindt Sprungli, our combined donations include: two round-trip bus tickets to New York City on C&J’s executive class coach, tickets to a Broadway show, and a free hotel stay.
In a moment reminiscent of our favorite scene from Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory, Ellie’s mother Cherie discovered the hidden coupon within Ellie’s Lindt Festival bar they’d purchased at Prescott Park’s very last performance of “Annie.”
Ellie, Cherie and Ellie’s younger sister will enjoy a weekend in the city and are hoping to attend the Thanksgiving Day parade while there. They haven’t settled on a show yet, are thinking about “The Lion King.” Good choice, Ellie!
“This is the second year that C&J has been a season sponsor of the Prescott Park Arts Festival, in partnership with Federal Savings Bank, to offer this grand prize,” said Jamie Lesniak, Vice President of Operations at C&J Bus Lines. “We are proud to be affiliated with a community-based organization that brings so much pleasure to so many people, especially families, during the summer. The reach of Precott Park’s arts programming is pretty extensive, and we are really pleased that we can help extend that by offering Ellie and her family this really special opportunity.”
To ease Ellie’s nerves about the long ride, we invited her to take a look inside the executive-class NYC motorcoach she’ll be taking into the city, and we’re proud to say we got the Ellie seal of approval. “It’s beautiful,” she remarked, upon stepping inside.
On behalf of all of us at C&J, we’d like to say, “Congratulations, Ellie!”
