All aboard! C&J Bus Lines and Prescott Park Arts Festival are teaming up to bring you the signature event of the summer – Shrek, The Musical. This New Hampshire-based professional bus line is thrilled to play a leading role in this year’s musical.
“C&J Lines has always been such a wonderful supporter of the festival, and the Seacoast community,” said Ben Anderson, Executive Director of Prescott Park Arts Festival. “We are so happy to have such a well-respected business be the naming sponsor of the signature event of our season.”
“C&J is thrilled to be this year’s Prescott Park Arts Festival Musical Sponsor,” said Jim Jalbert, President of C&J Bus Lines. “We are proud to be affiliated with a community-based organization that brings so much pleasure to so many people, especially families, during the summer. The reach of Prescott Park’s arts programming is pretty extensive, and we are pleased that we can help support the community and look forward to seeing Shrek on stage!”
Shrek, The Musical will open on Friday, June 27 and continue every Thursday through Sunday until August 24. Directed by Billy Butler and based on the Oscar winning DreamWorks film that started it all, Shrek, The Musical will bring the hilarious story of everyone’s favorite ogre to dazzling new life on the Wilcox Industries Mainstage this summer. Full of all-new songs, incredible dancing and breathtaking scenery, Shrek, The Musical is part romance, part twisted fairy tale and all irreverent fun for everyone.
“We had more than 100 people turn out for the auditions, and have assembled a superb cast this year,” said Anderson. “Shrek is such a great musical for Prescott Park; I couldn’t be more excited. It has an excellent storyline and message, is so well-loved by kids, but is also packed with great humor for adults. It is going to be a very fun summer.”
