Feeling festive? Then head down to the Dover City Hall Auditorium December 6, 4:30 – 8 p.m. for the 4th Annual Dover Festival of Trees. We’re one of more than 30 local businesses donating decorated trees to be auctioned off for the benefit of the community. This year, we’re decorating with an apropos travel theme in mind: Home for the Holidays.
Funds from the event, sponsored by Kennebunk Savings, will be used by the Dover City Lights Committee, part of the Greater Dover Chamber of Commerce, to decorate the city for the holidays.
According to a post on the official Dover Festival of Trees Facebook page, in addition to the silent auction, there will be six trees up for raffle this year. Be sure to grab a few raffle tickets for a chance at the big prize, the Dover business tree. It will be covered in dozens of gift certificates to local businesses.
So mark your calendar and come to the Dover City Hall on December 6 to help beautify your city. You might even take home a gorgeous, fully-decorated tree designed with love especially for Dover.
The Dover Festival of Trees is free and open to the public. To learn more about the event, visit www.dovernh.org/Festival-of-Trees or contact the Greater Dover Chamber of Commerce at 603-742-2218.
