Expanding Service to NYC: Offering a Third Roundtrip on Fridays and Sundays

You asked, we answered! Starting Friday August 1, 2014 C&J Bus Lines will offer a third roundtrip on Fridays and Sundays between Portsmouth, NH and NYC Port Authority.

Southbound to New York City

The expanded New York City bus schedule, includes three south bound trips Friday and Sunday. All Southbound trips will arrive at the same gate (gate 34) at the NYC Port Authority.

Northbound to Tewksbury & Portsmouth

Riders traveling north from NYC Port Authority also have enhanced flexibility, with three departures on Friday and Sunday. Along with the expansion, there have been some changes to our schedule and departure locations in NYC. Starting August 1st all northbound trips will depart from Gate 2 at the NYC Port Authority. This new gate is located on the same level as before, the subway level, just on the oposite end of the hallway. Information booths and windows are located throughout the building

Please note: the expanded schedule has changed the time/location of our northbound departures. See our new schedule below, effective August 1, 2014:

Our flexible new schedule, with stops in Portsmouth, NH and Tewksbury, MA, is just another way C&J works to extend our executive-class service beyond the comfort and quality of our bus transportation.

The added service is due to the popularity of the NYC route and direct customer feedback. There is no added fare change.

“We are excited about the tremendous demand for our executive class service to New York and the need to add a third schedule” said Jim Jalbert, President of C&J. “There is clearly a need for an alternative service to that of the Boston air shuttle or Amtrak which provides direct service to New York City without the hassle of changing modes or traveling via Boston.”
