Summer is a great time to visit New York City. Everywhere you turn, something exciting is happening. From outdoor festivities and concerts, to sporting events, and more; we thought we’d help narrow down the choices and came up with a list of the 5 quintessential New York summer activities.
The one-stop foodie destination, with eats from over 100 local vendors and attracting 20,000+ attendees each weekend. Smorgasburg is the largest weekly open-air food market in America and is located in Brooklyn and open every Saturday and Sunday from April through October. Take in the surrounding arts and culture while sampling some of the latest food crazes or some refreshing spins on summer classics (churro ice cream sandwich anyone?) Trust us, we’ve been here and it’s awesome.
Every June, hundreds of thousands of people celebrate the city’s vibrant LGBTQ community with NYC Pride. The week-long celebration kicks off on June 21, offering events and activities for all ages, with the main event The March, happening on June 26th as more than 450 organizations and floats make their way down 5th Avenue towards Greenwich Village.
