2026 Daylight Saving Time: What C&J Travelers Need to Know

Written by C&J Bus Lines | Oct 27, 2026, 7:04:37 PM

On Sunday, November 1, 2026, at 2:00 AM, Daylight Saving Time comes to an end, and clocks will fall back one hour to 1:00 AM. That means an extra hour of sleep for most, but if you're catching an early-morning C&J bus to Boston Logan Airport, there are a few things you'll want to know!

Traveling Early? Here's What You Need to Know

If you're catching one of our early-morning departures, here's how the time change will work:

  • 2:00 AM or 2:30 departures from Dover
  • 2:30 AM departure from Portsmouth
  • 2:55 AM departure from Seabrook

All departures will operate after the clocks have fallen back. Your scheduled departure time will not change.

Using Your Phone as an Alarm? Read This!

Most smartphones automatically adjust for Daylight Saving Time, but there's one important thing to remember: the hour between 1:00 AM and 2:00 AM happens twice!

If you're planning to wake up at 1:00 AM to catch an early bus, your alarm may go off before the time change, leaving you with an extra hour before your departure.

Our recommendation? Plan ahead, double-check your alarm settings, and account for the extra hour when getting ready for your trip.

Remember: All C&J departures at 2:00 AM or later will follow the new time.
