Luggage Policy

Carry-on Allowance: 1 Bag + 1 Personal Item

Each passenger is allowed one bag plus one personal item (purse, briefcase, laptop, etc.) that fits in the overhead bin, under the seat in front of you, or in your lap.

  • Maximum Dimensions: 16"Lx20"wx10"H
  • Maximum Weight: 30 lb/14 kg
  • Exceptions: Medical Assistance items will not count as a carry on
  • Reminder: Closets for hanging garment bags are not available on our coaches. Carry-on baggage is the sole responsibility of the customer and C&J will assume no liability for property carried onboard the coach.)

Luggage Allowance: 2 Pieces

Each passenger is allowed two bags as long as each bag adheres to the below requirements:

  • Maximum Dimensions: 62 inches in overall dimensions (length + width + height)
  • Maximum Weight: 50 lb/23 kg ( see HEAVY LUGGAGE POLICY)
  • Exceptions: Military Customers with one duffel bag, b-4 bag, or sea bag which exceeds the 62 inches in dimensions will be accepted as one allowable bag.
  • Reminder: Logan Airport bound luggage will require a C&J issued Terminal Luggage Tag available at our Agent counters.

Excess Baggage: will be accepted for a fee of $10.00 per bag, a one way fee to be collected at our C&J Terminal.

Overweight Baggage: adheres to the HEAVY LUGGAGE POLICY and are accepted on a SPACE AVAILABILITY BASIS, bags over 99 pounds are NOT accepted

Oversized Baggage: Oversized baggage may be placed in the luggage compartments of the coach on a SPACE AVAILABILITY BASIS, bags/items over 80 inches are NOT accepted.

(Please note: the largest luggage bay on a coach is 75" wide X 32" high X 97" deep)

HEAVY LUGGAGE POLICY: C&J Agents and Drivers are not required to handle Luggage weighing in excess of 50 lbs/ 23 kg. Overweight Luggage will be tagged" HEAVY" by the Agents alerting Drivers and Handlers NOT to handle the Luggage. Passengers must handle their own overweight luggage. If a passenger is unable to handle their overweight luggage it is at the discretion of the C&J employees whether they can handle the overweight luggage in a safe and injury-free manner.
