Reservation and Non-Reservation Tickets - Non-Reservation: Reservations are not necessary or accepted for our Dover, Portsmouth & Newburyport to/from South Station & Logan Airport Service. Tickets can be purchased in advance. Advance purchase does not reserve seats for a particular bus. All tickets are open-ended with the exception of the multi-ride passes and the same-day round trip ticket. One-way tickets expire 60 days from the date of purchase. to initiate a refund. Reservation: Reservations are necessary for service between Durham and Boston, South Station and Logan Airport and service between Durham, Portsmouth and New York City. Reservations can be made online and booked in advance. ONLY refundable 24-hours prior to the reserved departure time. Walk-ups are accepted with expired unused tickets when space is available. Photo ID - Will be required for all passengers traveling with an adult ticket. Children with no photo ID must be accompanied by an adult with photo ID upon purchasing tickets.
Schedules - Every effort will be made to operate according to published schedules. Circumstances sometimes develop beyond our control and accordingly C&J cannot hold itself responsible for errors in timetables, inconvenience or damage resulting from delayed coaches. Connections are not guaranteed and schedules are subject to change without notice.
Cell Phone Policy - C&J respectfully requests, for the comfort and safety of all passengers, customers refrain from cellular phone use while onboard a C&J Coach. Limited cell use will be permitted during trips between New York City.

Arriving at Logan Airport without a ticket? If you are unable to purchase your ticket in advance at one of our facilities in Dover, Portsmouth or Newburyport, or online at our web store, then you are still able to board the bus at Logan Airport. Upon boarding, the driver will request photo identification. When you reach your destination location, the driver will provide the agency with your identification, who will return it to you upon purchase of a ticket for the travel incurred.
Pickup times at Logan Airport - The time printed on the schedule is the time the bus is scheduled to pickup and depart Terminal A at Logan Airport. The bus will continue to Terminals B1, B2, C and E before departing the airport. The time it takes to circle around the entire airport varies depending upon traffic within the airport, however, on average is between 10 - 15 minutes total from Terminal A to Terminal E.
Smoking - Smoking will not be allowed on any C&J motor coach.
Food & Beverages - Only non-alcoholic beverages are permitted on C&J Coaches. Food is prohibited on all coaches with the exception of service to New York City.
Objectionable Persons - C&J reserves the right to refuse transportation to any person under the influence of intoxicating beverages or drugs or who is unable to take care of themselves or to any person whose conduct is such or likely to be such, as to make them objectionable to other passengers. Passengers not wearing shoes or other protective footwear will be denied transportation.
Passengers with Disabilities - Our goal is to make your travel on C&J safe. Our Drivers and Customer Service Representatives are available to meet the needs of patrons with disabilities. C&J provides assistance with boarding and de-boarding coaches, stowing of luggage, mobility devices and retrieval of the same. We can help whether you are traveling alone, with a personal care attendant or accompanied by a service animal.
All C&J Commuter Schedule Service is accessible to persons with disabilities. C&J Commuter service is designated on our weekday south & northbound schedules with an asterisk.
All Other Scheduled C&J Services: 48-hour notice is requested. This advance notice allows us to better assist our patrons. If no prior notice is received we will make every effort to help accommodate such that it will not delay a departure of the schedule on which one wishes to travel. Please contact our Information Center at (800) 258-7111 to make arrangements. Please note: the combined weight of the patron and mobility aid cannot exceed 600 pounds when using a wheelchair lift on a C&J motor coach. The mobility aid can be no more than 30 inches wide and 48 inches in height. Priority seating is available for the elderly and customers with disabilities on C&J's non-reservation service. However, you may sit where your needs are best accommodated, the front bus seats located in the first row directly behind and across from the driver and wheelchair securement areas are designated as priority seating. If these seats are occupied, the driver or other C&J personnel may ask the seated patron to move. If the person occupying the seat refuses, he or she cannot be forced to move. You may sit in the next available seat and move to the designated seats as they become available.
Portable Oxygen & Respirators- may accompany you on a C&J coach. A maximum of four (4) canisters may travel with the patron - two (2) aboard the coach and two (2) in the baggage compartment. The maximum dimension for each container may not exceed 4.5 inches in diameter and 26 inches in length. Patrons are responsible for ensuring that they have enough oxygen to complete their travel. Oxygen canisters to be stored in the baggage compartment must be in protective cases with safety caps on the valves. Reminder: Always keep medicine with you. Do not leave it in your checked baggage.
Animals - C & J permits service animals to accompany individuals with disabilities in vehicles and facilities, in accordance with Code of Federal Regulations 49 Part 37.167(d). (Service animal is defined as: any guide dog, signal dog, or other animal individually trained to work or perform tasks for an individual with a disability, including, but not limited to, guiding individuals with impaired vision, alerting individuals with impaired hearing to intruders or sounds, providing minimal protection or rescue work, pulling a wheelchair, or fetching a dropped item. Code of Federal Regulations 49 Part 37.3)
Children's Fares - Children who have not reached their twelfth (12th) birthday must be accompanied by an adult passenger. One child under five (5) years of age will be carried free of charge. Additional children five (5) years of age or under will be required to pay the applicable half fare. Children who have not reached their twelfth birthday will be charged one-half (1/2) of the adult fare.
Kids Ride Free Program - Your child rides free when accompanied by a full fare roundtrip ticketed adult to either Boston/South Station or Logan Airport. Tickets only available in our Dover, NH, Portsmouth, NH, and Newburyport, MA, Locations. Kids Ride Free Program is not available on the New York City service.
Luggage Allowance - C&J passengers will be allowed two (2) bags and two (2) carry-on items. Excess baggage is subject to a fee ($10.00 per bag), oversized and overweight baggage will be accepted on a space availability basis only. Logan Airport travelers with luggage to be placed under the Motor Coach in the luggage compartments will require a C&J issued terminal luggage tag. Complimentary tags will be provided based upon the passenger's terminal destination at Logan Airport. The following tag options are available: Terminals A, B1, B2, C and E. Agents/Drivers in our Dover, Portsmouth and Newburyport terminals will have tags available prior to boarding. Click here for full luggage policy.
Baggage Liability - $250 per adult fare ticket, $150 per half-fare ticket. C&J is not liable for Loss or Damage of luggage delivered to our employee for transportation in our baggage compartments, in an amount exceeding the above limits. Click here for full baggage liability guidelines.

Heavy Luggage Policy - C&J Agents and Drivers are not required to handle luggage weighing in excess of 50 lbs/ 23 kg. Overweight luggage will be tagged "HEAVY" by the Agents alerting Drivers and Handlers NOT to handle the Luggage. Passengers must handle their own overweight luggage. If a passenger is unable to handle their overweight luggage it is at the discretion of the C&J employees whether they can handle the overweight luggage in a safe and injury-free manner.
Misc. Sporting Equipment - Sporting equipment (bicycles/surfboards etc.) may be carried free and place in the luggage compartments of the coach as part of the 2 piece Luggage Allowance on a SPACE AVAILABILITY BASIS ONLY. Oversized items may be removed at our Newburyport Terminal to accommodate remaining passengers’ luggage. It is the responsibility of the passenger to ensure their oversized items transfer. Freight Service - C&J does not offer freight service.
